I'm still rocking my 2018 Prius Prime Advanced. Besides a run in with some very cold, very hungry rodents I've been very happy with this car. Small question that's been bugging me though. Is the wireless phone charger module weak? I have a Galaxy Z Fold 3 and after the camera lenses became damaged I refuse to not have a case after it came back to me repaired. Now anytime I place my phone into the bay it starts to charge and then stops and continues starting and stopping like my phone and the module just aren't connecting. My two thoughts were maybe the case is too thick which sucks because I don't like having a wireless charger and not be able to use it but now that I'm using a wireless charger at my desk that wireless charger seems to not have that issue. I thought of removing the case to see if it is in fact the case but my case has adhesive that helps hold it together and I just didn't want to bother unless I absolutely know I have no other options. If it's known to have this issue then I'll leave it alone and maybe find a slimmer case but wanted to ask you fine folks before I went down the road of replacing the module.
The primary function of the Qi charger in the Prime is to heat up your phone. Any charge that happens to dribble into the battery is incidental.
Lol, then I have the same charger in my Model 3! I added a NANAMI Wireless Charger,15W Max Qi Fast Wireless Charging pad (https://a.co/d/1G6G6Uo) to my Prius Prime Base model and get the same result. I don't know why it does that, but at home, my wireless chargers work very well.
