Has anyone run into any issues placing a toll transponder (EZpass, SunPass, etc) behind the black dots that surround the rearview mirror? I have placed mine on those dots, to the right of the mirror (out of view of the driver) vertically and not horizontally.
I did not realize the transponder could be placed on those dots. I had planned to put the transponder on the dash, behind the entertainment screen where it doesn't block any of the view and can't be seen by driver or passenger. Still testing whether it works there, but I can't see why it would not. I guess if you can place on the black dots surrounding the mirror that may be as good, or better.
I used to put it on the front window. But as it turned out, it works fine just keeping it in the glove box in front of the passenger seat. No messing with adhesives.
Pennsylvania EZ-Pass transponders use suction cups instead of adhesives. I placed mine just below the frit behind the rear view mirror.
