I've noticed that on my 2016 Prius C that the inverter coolant is low, I don't have any coolant and need to buy some to add some. Closest Toyota dealership is an hour and half a way but I've two auto part stores near me. Coolant is pink so I need the Zerex brand if I can get it right? Also doing some reading, low coolant could mean head gasket issue? I've had the car almost a year, bought it used and got a warranty with it. Came with 67k on it and well taken care of. Right now looking to add coolant and check in with a dealership about the possible issue SM-G996U ?
Sorry to drag up a year old thread but what was the result, normal or something more sinister? Also did you top it up with genuine Toyota coolant or use Zerex brand?
Just drive to the Toyota dealer, buy the original coolant and add more, it's easier than having to replace the old one and fill it with new one.
