I'm thinking about swapping the front seats in my '12 Prius 2. When it was brand new the original owners put real leather on the seats, but over the years, the leather is hard and the driver's seats is ripped. There's is no power anything on these seats. It does have an aftermarket heated seat system in it. I'm in Florida so I don't really care about that. I'm in the car alot, and I am now aware of the terrible lack of support in these seats. I'm wondering what power seats will bolt in other than the Prius 4 and 5s and the CT200H seats? Also, do 4th Gen seats fit in a 3rd Gen?
all the seat swap conversions i have read involve customization. but that gives you a much wider range of options
I don't mind doing wiring, but I'm talking about the actual seat frame where it bolts into the body. I don't want to cut and weld seat frames just to make it work.
Hey @bisco . I just bought the CT200H seats today. I have been trying to find somewhere that explains the wiring from a CT 200H to a driver's non power Prius seat. I can't make heads or tails of the wiring on the CT seats as it's mixed in with the heated seat controls (I would like to know about the heated seat wiring too so it all works.). I can't seem to find an explanation anywhere. Can you give me some guidance? The other guys who have done it haven't been active on the chat for a long time.
i haven't done it. i think your best bet would be to get the wiring diagrams for both cars at techinfo.toyota.com
If all else fails remove the wiring harness from the CT200h seat and divide it into "heating section " and "seat motor " and " air bag". Then you should be able to figure it out the seat motor controls. As far as the seat heaters with global warming U do not need em !

Well, here's the link to the passenger side. I'm still waiting for the mail for the new (used) power seat switch for the driver's side. Prius CT200H Passenger Seat Upgrade | PriusChat
The seats from the Camry and Avalon width-wise and all will fit the Prius. I haven't measured the width of an RCF or GSF but after finding a set of front GSF seats I am sold and really want ventilated front seats these days.
The main thing you need to do is adapt the airbag harnesses or you will get an airbag off light. Everything else really just needs an add a fuse circuit to power it. A seat heater you just need a universal seat heater button kit with an add a fuse as well. Easiest way will be to chop the connectors off and divide out the wires i bet as well.
