Just realized today that the boots are torn and the grease is leaking. Not really having any noticeable symptoms though. Looking at getting the ac delco ones from rock auto. Really don’t want to pay oem price.
    Thoughts?

Those look ripe to replace. Don’t really have enough info on replacements (I got one from AutoZone for our v).

IMG_7266.jpeg Decided to go through Amayama. Amazing price compared to the dealer. Only a little more than aftermarket. First time using this company.

Amayama, Japanese pricing is amazing compared to what the US dealers charge. I bought a rear axle from them for my Scion iQ as it was cheaper than local sourcing, more specifically an Aston Martin independent shop. It was air flown within a few days of them getting it into inventory $2xx shipping still much cheaper, arrived in less than a week from order placement. (Pre-COVID I must disclose).

I’m glad you are happy with Toyota quality. Mine showed no sign of needing replacement, the AutoZone one was a really thin steel one, and I just replaced that one side even though the old one looked fine, so one side is steel and the other is that original Aluminum. It runs fine and the AutoZone one has a lifetime warranty. For me I didn’t care to get Toyota replacement because the ball joint boot near there was shot at, get this, 30k mi. Which reminds me to tell you please check the lower ball joints to make sure they don’t exhibit the same failure.
