I'm planning to re upholster both front seats with more padding and a higher "seat" where your butt parks, so I'd prefer a kit because my wife is unhappy with the seat height on the passenger side. Is there a kit out there or is it all DYI, and cut some pipe spacers and use longer bolts around 3/4 higher using Grade 8 - 10 bolts and blue Locktite. Thanks in advance!
We have seat cushions that raise the seat height for my wife (just under 5 ft) so she can see over the steering wheel. They do make our 2020 AWDe Prius seats more comfortable. JeffD
Driver seat already adjusts with a lever on the side of the seat. The OP wanted to raise the height of the passenger side, which does not have any adjustment
I'll keep you posted. I found some on Ebay, but it's low carbon steel and I don't know the thickness.
I saw someone somewhere att washers or grommets under the mounting screws. But i am not sure that is safe with all the airbag teh.
I'm thinking of having the seats re - stuffed. Toyota (and others) are making cars lower and lower with less head room which is fine for the young and agile. From the garage floor to the low part at the back of the cushion is 16". I'm exploring having an upholstery guy rebuild both seats to add about 2" of cushy foam.
