Front seat swap

Welp, no need to preach to the choir - stock seats suck. Wife and i couldn't stand the car for any trips over an hour. She had an upcoming 2k mile road trip so I got the pick and pull. Got a pair of power leather seats out of 2008 Camry hybrid (ha!). They are fairly comfy and decent range of adjustment. Time to figure out the swap and with a fast approaching deadline!

Turns out, Camry seats aren't that much bigger. I cut brackets off both, bolted Prius brackets in and tacked up the Camry seat. Unbolt, weld up and bam, new seats. Airbag and seat sensor were the same plugs (thank you common parts), just had to wire in a power source and seatbelt sensor. I stole power from the power window circuit in the dash and spliced in seatbelt sensor. Not difficult. Can only adjust seats with car on. Figured you wouldn't be adjusting seat and window at same time.

Result: lower seating position (maybe not best), tilt of seat (great) and lumbar support(finally!). Wife was happy and not in pain from the road trip and this thing is now the trip car every time!
