Is Gen 5 Prius really better-looking than Gen 4 Prius Prime?

i'd take the gen 5 for looks, and the gen 4 for utility. give me a 4 with longer range and flat hatch floor and i'm done.

Drove the '23 on hi way today and really liked the TSS 3.0 lane keeping, etc. Big improvement!

I mean... from a design, drive, and technology standpoint,, it's like adults vs. children. This thread has been entertaining.

 

They say it's not only best in class, it competes WAY above its category.

Side note: Do Not use Volvo's 2023 lane assist/keep function without having your hands firmly on the wheel. It tried to kill me... twice.

 

I was absolutely shocked at how good it is. I've hated and immediately turned off any lane keeping systems on other cars, but I can stand this one just fine. It's a bit troublesome in my city limits because it's a rural-ish town with lots of variations in lane width and striping styles, but on the highway it's great.

 

THAT is one hot looking car!

 

Exactly my experience. The 2.0 in my 22 Prime is helpful at times, but it absolutely will drive you into a ditch. The 3.0 is much more intelligent and capable. I also noted (watching the auto energy flow screen) how much the rear wheels AWD motor activates to assist in getting through even low speed turns. The AWD system is quite a bit improved over last year's AWD model, working at higher speeds, for example.

 

Oh no, was watching Men in Black with the kids, and I saw this, now I can't un-see it!

 

I'm still marveling at the beauty of this car. It truly is a work of art! Almost a sin it was wasted on the Prius line. But I for one am very thankful it was.

To some who can say money is no object maybe batman is really beautiful to them?
I know 16 years ago when I bought the 07 and joined this, I was looking 20 years younger than now. I am the same inside but the outside isn’t considered as good looking as it was. It wasn't exactly stellar then, but now?

To me, the thing is, the Gen 4 Prime LOOKS like a hybrid car. The Gen 5 really does not.

IMHO, for Prius looks:

Gen 5 > Gen 3 > Gen 2 > Gen 4 > Gen 1

So far I've owned a 2001, a 2004, and currently a 2012 Plug-In.

 

what's the difference between 2001 and 2003?
