2013 MFD malfunction or about to die?

Same occasional white screen here in Atlanta in our 2013 Prius, on the 57031 radio. Anyone ever find a fix? Could just the screen itself be replaced? Or possibly a bad connector to it?

 

The radio is 10 years old and is probably on its last leg. Mine (2015) started acting up at the 7 year mark so I purchased an after market head unit.

 

Looks like I am having the same issue. Are there any instructions available showing how to change it out? Just want to be able to take it all apart without damaging the dash/console.

An update regarding my 2013 Prius screen is that the humidity situation doesn't seem to be always the cause. Used to be.

Wondering if there is a bad capacitor or connection somewhere as I recall seeing change when going over bumps more than one time?

 

I am currently afflicted by the same "white screen of death" in my 3rd gen Prius V (for victory). Thinking about yanking it and replacing it with one off ebay, but unclear if there is any proprietary programming that would need to be done since it also monitors battery functions.

P.S. Notice how the screen in that video was smashed? If mine keeps acting up, it's going to look just like that very soon. ; )

 

Plug and play. Probably a 57011 with gps. Get one with the extension box underneath which does the gps and enhanced Bluetooth.
