I have the same exact thoughts and fears! Personally at this point I would leave them on. As I said to sales manager “I’ll tell you to remove them and the next day someone will ding my door!” I don’t think they look so bad on your car. Looked bad on the white. Definitely looks better and more streamlined than the side body molding on Gen 4. : ) I know…I’m picturing myself crawling into it!
Surprisingly, the body side moldings don't look bad on that color at all. I have a silver LE and I don't like them on white or silver. Congrats on a sweet machine.
I just saw my first 2023 on the road today. Exact same color and trim (white XLE AWD) as the one I’ll be hopefully picking up in 3 weeks. It was beautiful.
Haha, nope! Now I’m even more antsy to get mine. It’s been quite a wait, but now I know for sure it will be worth it.
Could've been me or my wife. We're in central Kansas - near Salina. Been driving this thing all around on trips! LOL
I’m a few states north and east of you, so I would guess it was a look-alike. But that is one gorgeous car. Hope you are enjoying it!
Well, it might have been. Congrats! We stayed in Hutch, drove around in McPherson, Lindsborg, Salina (mom lives there), Rice county dirt roads. I live in FL now, and kinda miss KS.
My second sighting. First time seeing cutting edge color in person. I like it although don’t care for the light gray interior on this one. The headlight design stopped me in my tracks as I was exiting a building. It was parked right in front of me. Older gentleman said he loves driving it on the highway. Only thing that bugs him is the media screen. Plus he needs to watch out for hitting his head when he enters and exits. : / Heck even James Bond might be ok with the looks of this new Prius. Ha! Probably not the interior though.
I having mixed feelings about seeing that one in person. On one hand, I now love the Wind Chill Pearl that I’ve been allocated, on the other, I’m afraid I will see Guardian Gray (my first choice) and regret settling for the white.
I’m thinking you’re right. I’ve really come to appreciate how the white makes the lines of the new design stand out vs the darker colors where you don’t get as much of that effect.
Yes. I agree. I’m starting to think it looks best in red, white and silver. The blue is a nice shade of blue too. I’m still sticking to silver because I don’t have access to weekly cleanings. : )
Colour is a personal choice, naturally but I’m not enamoured with Guardian Grey. Wind Chill should look better. I’ve already seen 5 black Liftbacks (all car share ones) and it looks good at night and ok during the day. It does hide the black wheel arch accents. I think silver looks best for this generation. Yeah, silver looks pretty good for this Gen. A nice new shade.
Cutting edge was my first choice, then the Guardian Gray and 3rd was the Wind Chill Pearl. In this market, you can only get what’s available otherwise you have to wait forever. If the Wind Chill Pearl was the first available car, I am not sure if I will make the deal. I love white cars and had a few over the years BUT our community has so many Teslas and more than half of them are White Tesla 3s!
