Pretty sure I read here recently that 3rd gen Prius are now included, at least in the States. We really wanted Blizzard Pearl when shopping in 2010, settled for silver. The Blizzard Pearl thing is a real debacle. Even if they acknowledge and offer to fix, how effective is it?? To add insult: you had to pay extra for Blizzard Pearl.
Good news. I drive a 2010 Toyota Prius and also noticing same issue. Can you please share the name of your dealer along with the address?
How do we go about getting this for our vehicles? My paint is peeling on my 2010 prius with blizzard pearl and has a yellow tint to the top area of the paint.
I finally got this letter from Toyota. But I got tired of waiting, and already fixed the peeling spot myself. It doesn't match exactly, but it's very close, and isn't peeling any more. I'll keep the letter in the car, in case.
Does the warranty apply to Canada? I didn't get any letter for my Blizzard Pearl Prius. I have rust/paint coming off above the front windshield. I covered it up with touchup paint. I also don't know if it is enough of a blemish to get warranty.
As I just discovered, if you did anything to paint over the peeling areas, Toyota will not repaint the car for you. Like many on this board, I've been complaining for years that the Blizzard Pearl on my 2010 Prius was peeling, and Toyota kept telling me that it was not covered under the "program" that they had for all the other models with the same problem. Having been told TS, I was left with the option of driving around in a car that looked like a Dalmatian and having it rust, or painting it. I chose the latter. Now that Toyota has changed its mind, I'm out of luck. The "good news", as I was told, is if it continues to peel they'll cover it.
Toyota screwed-the-pooch with Blizzard Pearl 3rd gens, and are doing everything but owning up to it. Good to know when you're car shopping. In 2010 we just about got Blizzard Pearl, that was our pref, but settled for a Classic Silver Metallic that was on the lot (for about 15 months...).
