    Hi all,

I haven't posted on here in forever but was wondering if I could solicit help from collective Priuschat wisdom. I did some searching but haven't found a solution to my particular need. I have two dogs (medium/large) and my wife and I are expecting our first kid in a few months. I'm looking to keep one of the back seats down to allow extra storage or dog movement and have the baby seat in the other back seat. What we are looking to do is come up with some partition to separate the seats so that the dogs can't climb or drool on the kid etc. I've read a bunch of threads and seen all the commercial products that keep dogs from going over the back seats, or for keeping them out of the front seats. I can't find anything that works to separate the two seats themselves. I've tried a couple of DIY type things... mesh laundry basket, foldable sun shade etc but nothing has worked sufficiently yet. Has anyone dealt with this sort of thing themselves or otherwise know of a solution? I did a bunch of searching on here and Google but with no luck. Though I'm sure I may have missed something. Any help appreciated!

It'll probably be easier to put a cage around the baby/kid in this situation lol. ;)

But doing so would invite a lot of stares and probably calls to the CPS/Police.

Looking for recommendations for a pet partition Between the cargo area and the backseat for my gen 3 It needs to be strong and nontransparent enough so people riding in the backseat don't know my dog is back there. Thanks

I don't know if any commercial products that are opaque. However you could make a template out of thick cardboard to get the shape correct and then have a piece of plexiglass cut into that shape. Plexiglass can be anchored in place with L brackets and small nuts and bolts. Then use the anchor points for the rear tie down D rings to attach the new plexiglass divider to the car. Black plexiglass is available or you could go with clear and just paint it. Vent holes are also an option for good air flow.
