I Sorta like the EUV. Near adult size....and nearly enough range....and something close to adult styling. @ $35,000 (no tax kickbacks, thank you very much...) it will be interesting to see how it does with the bottom three quarters of the market.
Look very nice. If the actual price holds as advertised, I think I may have to put the Bolt EUV above RAV4 Prime for my next car choices.

With the EV incentives available in Canada, it's a screaming deal. In Quebec, it's CAD$29,000 plus taxes (including incentives... EV rebates are applied after taxes so pre-tax discount is $11,300)
Are new Bolt safer than the old ones? I have been seeing a lot of news about Bolt catching fire and GM issuing a warning not to charge the car in a garage or close to a house. That is crazy.
gm has been making electric cars a lot longer than tesla, unless you mean nikola, and i don't think he made a car
I don't remember reading news on Tesla catching fire, but hey, I was never interested in owning a Tesla. Bolt has been and still is a contender on the short list for my first BEV. But with all the news I have been seeing on the Bolt catching fire, I am not so sure anymore. I would rather buy Leaf with short-range and no liquid cooling that may result in early battery degradation than buying a car that is a potential fire huzzard.
No more crazier than Ford saying so about ICE cars because of a faulty wire harness in the steering column, or Honda with faulty window switches. Most car fires have little to nothing to do with the vehicle's fuel system.
Sorry to dredge this thread back to life. I just want to point out that the spec for seat height from ground is nice and high. They have a name for that spec... I recently rented a Tesla M3 and getting into it was like going back to my Volt, it's low and the door opening is not tall, a little scrunching is needed. As for the battery fires mentioned in this old thread, as you know, they are all being replaced and you get a brand new 8yr/100k mile warranty on the new pack. I couldn't be happier!!
okay, after all my negative comments, i'm taking a hard look at bolt euv vs tesla m3 standard. mostly because of tax credits. bolt $34k all in, 23k after credits, hoping for 10k trade in. m3 $44k all in, 33k after credits, offered 8k trade in. i have to order a bolt with 3-4 months eta, no test drive, none to even look at. i have to order a tesla 1 month eta, test drive next saturday.
I hope it turns out ok for your project , BTW as for Bolt , FYI GM Canada is unable to honor sales reservation for the time remaining of production in my province , many clients are pissed off . Good luck
thanks! they are saying end of year delivery if i order now, but who knows? refundable deposit, i could be in the tesla by then, or if i can fix the prius, i may not do anything.
