    This is hysterical. Do you not realize that you have proven the falseness of your claim with your very own pix?

    I can see the house and car outside because it is lighter outside the car than inside. Seems like a nice neighborhood!

    Reverse the situation. It's dark outside but the inside of the car is all lit up. Yep, people outside will see the light inside just like you can see outside when its lighter outside.

    You market the shades as "blackout" Let me Google that for you:

    What Are Blackout Shades?
    A blackout shade is a type of window treatment made from an opaque fabric that is used to create complete darkness in a room. They’re commonly found in hotel rooms, offices, and schools, but are also an ideal choice for bedrooms and nurseries.

    And just in case you don't understand the meaning of "opaque," I'll Google that for you also: not able to be seen through; not transparent

    But we really don't have to go much farther than your own words and your own picture.
    You've asked us to believe you when you say: "no light gets through whatsoever" and "still blocks out all light.."

    Just in case you need the dots connected.
    Look at the pix you posted. Does ANY light get through whatsoever.
    Look at the pix you posted: Does the shade block out ALL light.

    And if you want to know what real blackout shades look like, check out the ones I posted above. Those shades meet your claims of blackout, no light gets through, all light block. Yours don't.

    I guess, the funniest part is I post a video.. showing them blocking out all light... and it's not good enough. Welp. Clearly, as in politics, you are free to believe and say as you like. It's the internet. I don't know what else to tell ya bud. no light gets through whatsoever, particularly at night time... I think adding more context would've helped as it's clear I can be responsible for what I say, and definitely not what you understand. This is a Prime example of why I stand behind my words, they can be interpreted many ways to sunset and they all not be close to my point.

    EDIT: I never said they were, nor is the product listed as opaque
    The definition of blackout shades contradicts then the definition of the word blackout.
    During the day, with the sun shining in, I am in darkness. If i said "complete" darkness than that would contradict the shades as the point you are trying to prove. Everything you've defined as your understanding of blackout shades, I never used those words to describe them.

    I guess the British in WWII used the word blackout incorrectly. Strange since their use of the English language was always considered to be first rate.

    You think a video has the same ability to detect light as the human eye? lol All cameras struggle in low light situations depending on their sensor and aperture. A dark video does not mean that "all light was blocked out." The pix you posted demonstrates that your shades are see-through.

    Dude, I think you need a standing eight count. You've been totally knocked out but you don't realize it. You need someone in your corner to throw in the towel and make you STFU since you are just digging yourself deeper.

    The frightening thing is that I really think you believe your BS.

    the wildest part is... I know it's not me... if you could share the optimal method to capture what the human eye sees, I am all ears. Your statement would also mean Johnnys' camera doesn't have the same ability to detect light as the human eye as well. right? Or, it's a still image and that's what I should capture? If I'm lost, why not share directions to the station with me?

    Yes, that's correct. But he did a side-by-side comparison of your transparent shade with his light blocking shade using the same camera and the same location. That takes the camera out of the equation and makes it an apples to apples comparison. Both in his pix and in your pix it is possible to see through your shade -- that's light getting through. Period.

    At the beginning, you could have said:
    "I was wrong about no light gets through whatsoever and still blocks out all light. I'm sorry that was marketing hyperbole. These shades will reduce the light, but they are do let some light through and do not block out all light."
    If you did that, then you might have come out of this with some credibility left.

    Instead, you doubled down on your lies and insulted those who proved you wrong. Everyone's opinion of you as sketchy as heck is just confirmed.

    With that folks, just because someone types their opinion doesn't make it facts.

    Nothing else to say here, I posted a video showing no light getting through whatsoever that still blocks out all light so that when someone walks or drives past your vehicle day or night, they cannot see in! Point blank! That's tripling down now.

    Just because you understand my words the way you want to, doesn't mean that's the way my words are to be interpreted.

    The most telling part is the folks reaching out to me ensuring I don't let the jackals get to me, my response... it'll take a lot more than over-opinionated could be ghost accounts to get to me. Clearly, we will agree to disagree and call it a day, this whole name-calling like we are in elementary school gets old. Liar, Scammer, insulter? Huh... see, clearly you feel it's okay to assign labels because you think they fit the build. uh. I truly wish yall the best, the energy around these parts is what keeps many away, and Hybrid Repair shops across the country refusing to work on the Prius... because of their owners. I'm not perfect, but I stand behind what I say with non-disputable, well. per you, because there wasn't another test subject different than mine in my video it doesn't count? heh. okay boo.. do you!

    Hey so aside from this argument surrounding these shades, can you address my initial question about the order I have with you?

    As I previously stated, I have not had an issue waiting; that should be obvious by my lack of anger towards you, on top of the more real world example of NOT calling my card company and having them chargeback.

    However, you just keep saying that I don't "understand" the challenges you face, and that all the jokers are just trying to bring you down. I am quite literally trying to understand.

    You are the one who orders/produces these products, so you have insight in to WHEN they are expected to come back in stock. Right?

    When I call you and you say to me that they WILL BE SHIPPED THIS WEEK and that you just HIRED MORE STAFF TO HELP, but then they don't ship, you don't update me on why, and you don't provide the roughest of estimates on when I should receive them, how am I supposed to trust you, take your word, believe in you?

    I don't understand man, its one or the other: your word is good, or its not.

    So which is it?

    Well, i hope the below helps you and mabe others understand. I find that while I lay out my truth for transparency, the thought if ever audited or AG gets involved, no one can say I ever lied nor scammed anyone. That said..

    You know, what you seek has been what I've been attempting to have more solidified. The headache of even like I mentioned throughout the months of 2023 and the sun shades. Placing orders, paying for bulk, expecting in hand by X date but customs or other forces that be had other ideas. I wouldn't have a WHEN if customs is backed-up, they don't tell me when, I just get a call from dispatch to schedule delivery.

    This is the last big hurdle in terms of unknown resolutions and expected deliveries with how they impact the past inability to offer a WHEN. Not to say that its okay, heh.. if I told you the reason things like your order are behind is that Fractory.com stopped doing business in the USA on December 31, 2022, and the first large order we submitted was not in the fulfillment warehouse by the first week in January 2023 as planned.

    I guess to say, we learned a few things about the latest new manufacturing facility that will now be our backup. When we started we only had one and by the end of the year, there will be three all with the same quality control procedures we made some time ago. This snowball started when the first facility making parts had a few covid warehouse shutdowns. That's when the hunt for the secondary company comes to play.

    The unfortunate part in all that you say, is probably the main reason you have frustration... I'm the face and voice, now, if down the totem pole help decides to go to another pasture or someone drops the ball and sends products that clearly weren't QA'd.... for one I become a liar to you, then because I'm scrambling to recover from the gorgeous pass I threw down the field to someone with butterfingers... I end up to a point of playing catchup and repair, not much time left in the day to send literally hundreds of emails to say no update... then set back even further because of chargebacks on products I've already placed orders for if the stock counts are low. people who don't see that you can't just get a catalytic converter from Toyota... either tell you a date 6 months out that they still are unsure about to where now you have people waiting up to and over a year for one. Not to say for you and your order that is the case but... I'm waiting on roof rack parts just to have them to put on my Prime and my Gen 2... the same company that's making those, also for ditch pod light brackets and other laser cut parts.

    I guess for me, the folks I trust in this Prius world who know deeper than what I typed above, all wonder why I keep going with the energy all have towards me. all the talk and words... it's because I know I'm not what they say, plus.. if they cared anything about the community and their car, I'd like to think they would have your approach. The thing is... had there not been these jokers out there fanning the fire... or... even the OP of this thread... like... who goes to shame and kick down the company you want something from no one else in the US has? Sure, a better job of setting shipping expectations could've been done, especially when the Factory shut down.. and yet, folks read my words as to say I'm lying... or ... whatever else their creative imagination comes up with.

    No one has stopped to think, wait.. maybe the guy has sold over 1/4 million dollars in Prius Parts his first year, and out of the hundreds of thousands but millions of Prius owners out there... he got a little inundated? But no... Toyota has huge delays no one says scam.. yet, towards me... words of slander and emotionally driven opinions because I don't care about MPG and I don't do with my Prius what they all do... clearly.. they feel some type of way. so then their words make you feel some type of way as a customer who placed an order and doesn't receive an email back with an update of WHEN... like.. I'm sure you feel like you got burned, while I'm here trying to ship the past, stock for the future and battle customers who know how to file a chargeback to where even though I sent product they still win and I'm out of a product...or the ones who say they want a refund and cancel their order because it's taking longer then they expect and become belligerent when it mentioned the cancelation of order fee they agreed to. More than once I'm told it's because of the words they read online is why they want a refund... have to fear good sir... although many read and do not post, you will be part of the group that can say there were delays... you received your product and your patience gift. You'll be able to follow that all up with the fact all of your orders after the first shipped in less than 24-48 hours! That's how I see it. Just the hemorrhaging from chargebacks was never expected or in the plans... I had to put a hot iron on it more than once to stop the bleeding, I'm hoping this month and next will be the start to never having one filed again!

    Yeah, when you called.. that was in the heat of battle... I don't want days like that anymore and this all to be automated how it was planned and built!

    I understand. It must be very difficult to run a business if you don't know when you'll get the product from the supplier and thus have no idea when the product will ship out.

    Of course, I guess not so difficult when you just make promises anyway.

    If a business is not delivers on their promises, they will eventually go out of business.
    If you pay by credit card and don't get your product in time, call them and they will stop payment.
    It's VERY simple.
    Prius Chat is just becoming a "bash everyone" if you get upset.
    You're just giving the free advertising.

    People are fascinated by the opportunity to observe the mind of a scammer and how he justifies himself.

    Simple math from the PriusChat home page -- There have been over 13,000 topics on PriusChat. This thread is in the top three percent for page views of all time. Anyone who has had enough just doesn't need to click on it.

    This thread is exactly the kind of free advertising that Prius Overlanding needs. It's basically a public service.

    I'm done here, I never intended my inquiry to come off as an attack. I actually don't even believe that blkjymyntrn is a scammer, just unorganized. However, I know he's active on the forum and it can be very difficult to get a hold of him.

    This behavior actually reminds me of the way I was back in highschool/college. As in, I made big promises to make people happy/make myself look helpful; I just lacked the required follow through to live up to my claims.

    If my order was for parts that cost more than what I spent I might be singing a different tune but this isn't the end of the world, just irritating.

    I don't agree that arguments in general should be frowned upon. I do however agree with the sentiment that outwardly bashing someone is unproductive.

    Potentially I veered more towards the latter in this interaction.
