Is there any TSS/safety/driver assistance feature that the Prius ‘23 has that a Tesla M3 does not?

I don’t think there is any.
If you can live with a BEV and potential build quality issues the Model 3 is a no-brainer. Way better value than the Prius.

 

I agree with TGTGUUD although Tesla has gotten better with its build quality. The driving experience is awesome in a Tesla. I wish I could justify getting a Tesla. I bought an E-bike as a commuter vehicle instead lol.

 

The features are comparable (both 9/10 according to Consumer Reports), but each has some features the other doesn't have. Overall, TSS 3.0 is slightly higher-rated than Tesla's system according to Consumer Reports (65 vs. 61). Note that Tesla lacks collaborative steering, which is standard in TSS 3.0. Tesla also lacks curve detection, which is also standard in TSS 3.0. Full self-driving should have curve detection through GPS maps (not through sensors), but you still don't get collaborative steering. Tesla might also lack some of the other proactive-driving features in addition to curve detection that TSS 3.0 has.

 

And there's something lacking in TSS that is very present in Tesla system: PHANTOM BRAKING.
That makes useless the entire ADAS TESLA suite & force you to live without even a dumb CC because is'nt allowed to exclude adaptivity.

One of many reason i've got rid of my 2021 M3 LR after 5 months of ownership.
Total unsafe shit.

Well, it's not like that, i'm an EV fan and for age, a quiet one nowadays

But doesn't mean i want to kill myself with a SUA (sudden unintended acceleration) Tesla doesn't even admit their cars are suffering from, but that i had the pleasure to experiment 3 times in a day...

Not to mention i've been also sh*gged by Tesla with a China-made LG Chem battery that charges at the half speed of a Pana.

SUA isn't the only thing that Teslas do. FSD is garbage and doesn't work properly. Not only that but it turns itself off just before a crash so that it would appear that FSD isn't at fault for the accident. There's currently a class action lawsuit because people paid for it and never got it.

 

True, and the no time to react has been ascertained by the Dutch Forensic Institute that hacked the data log, finding that Tesla does not give all relevant data and stating:

The NFI's decryption hinged on a collision where a driver reportedly had Autopilot engaged in heavy traffic, according to Reuters. But because the driver was supposedly following too closely behind another car, neither the driver nor the Tesla could stop in time when the lead car braked suddenly. The Tesla did warn the driver to take back control, the NFI found, but there just wasn't enough time.
