Cheers, head has already been sent away for skimming-pressure test-valve lapping ect. Probably not in that order.

That has already been spotted, can't even feel it with your nail so should still be good as it hasn't been burning oil before head gasket went poop.

Did you get a Toyota head gasket kit? It's supposed to have everything...

Toyota UK reckons they don't do a kit but supply parts separately instead..

Well it's back, guy turned up for work Sunday to get boxed off.
Fired up no problem apart from a death rattle till hydraulic lifters pumped up, sounds well now... Nice little 360 mile drive in the morning to test it out .

How much I hear you ask... Not bad considering some of scary numbers I keep seeing on here. 20230514_204128.jpeg

What did they charge you for the head work, if any needed to be performed? Wondering if they replaced the valve seals as well?

Yup e210.... Already had direct injectors fail which seam to be quite common at 20,000 miles... Warrenty job..... Newer isn't always better.

US mechanics could learn a lot from tradesmen in the UK. How in the world do you get those kind of miles in three months? That island is not all that big! East coast to west coast and back is a daytrip even when stopping for old castles.
