My bluetooth reader gets here tonight so I'm going to run some more tests and see before I buy anything for sure. Just with a simple code reader I got that code, but we'll see what comes up with the drprius app.

I think I'm outside of any warranty range, pretty sure it's 8 years/100k miles which I'm out of. Could be wrong tho.

    Appreciate the responses!

Is the V2 supposed to be new cells themselves or an addition to the existing infrastructure? Is it going to be an expensive upgrade to the V1s is basically what I'm asking or are these questions not allowed to be answered yet?

Just realized I typed wrong, it's definitely P0A80 as the code, but P0A08. Wish it were the other way around, but 8 years in the vegas heat was too much for the battery.

Is the lithium supposed to handle high heat better than the NIMH?

There will be a DIY video uploaded in a week, stay tuned for that.

I do not know the price to upgrade.

Cool, can't wait to hear. Definitely check on the dealer, they go by in service date for the warranty enhancement programs. They covered my inverter fail for my 2012 in 2022 and my abs booster fail in 2023 because my car apparently sat at the dealer till July 2013 before getting registered. May just buy it to have it ready depending on what's changed in v2. Doesn't look like I'll be able to afford another car anytime soon and this one's still pretty nice so...

I do not know why this site locks some uploads, very annoying.

Each module weighing just over 2 pounds. 20230328_135338.jpeg

Just for the sake of accuracy and to eliminate the exaggeration....

YOUR scale shows 2 pounds 13.2 ounces(?) for one module, which is essentially 2 OEM modules. That is just under three pounds, not just over two pounds. So there are 14......a little math shows the module total weight should be 39.6 pounds.

A pair of OEM NiMH modules weighs exactly 4 pounds 9.3 ounces. Total weight of modules=~64.14 pounds. The remainder of the HV battery is about 20 pounds, but doesn't matter, since it's going to be basically the same for both, right? Total difference of weight is about 24.5 pounds.

Complete battery assembly.....84ish for OEM and 60ish for the lithium. Not 84ish and 30, or am I missing something.

Excuse me for the little typo, so the exact weight of all the modules is 39.55lbs.

Still way lighter than the OEM pack.

I meant to put 39 but the 0 is next to 9 and I was leaving out the .55 on purpose.

    Are you sure about that?

    Your quote from post 33:
Each module weighing just over 2 pounds.

tells me you read your scale as being 2.132 pounds (x14 modules) = 29.85 pounds.
instead of 2 pounds 13.2 ounces. I'm glad I was able to help you read a scale.

And no, I won't excuse you. Not biased at all right?

    Your quote:
    Pack only weighs 30 pounds!!!
Compared to OEM of 80+ pounds!!

Comparing the weight (or what you thought was the weight) of 14 bare lithium modules to a completely assembled OEM battery is just a bit on the sketchy side, don't you think? Because a 50+ pound difference sure sounds better than a 24.5 pound difference, right?

It's no big deal, but accuracy matters when you're hyping the snot out of something and you need to be believable. Keep trying. You're not helping yourself.

Yea typos happen, want a screenshot of my keyboard?

I do not need you excusing me at all.

Clearly you are the hype here.

    Thanks for the input wap!!!

Am I missing something or are the V2 battery packs not listed on the site? Everything still says sold out.

I notice the site now says V2 on the battery packs, so he may be still updating it before going live.
