The bite clips the plastic brackets that screw on to the chassis where these little cutouts on the front or rear bumper cover are supposed to push into the plastic and lock after they get pulled in and out once or twice they no longer grab and lock anymore as by design You're supposed to replace the plastic pieces by removing the 10 mm screws and replacing the black plastic pieces that accept your front or rear bumper cover it's that simple If you don't want to do that on a hot day when the front or rear bumper cover is like extremely pliable you can put some glue build up on the little squares that are exposed to be accepted by the plastic pieces then tap those in like they're supposed to go and use some heavy tape like zip tape to hold that while the glue dries then when you go to remove the zip tape you have to hold the panel in where you glued it and pull the zip tape off carefully that should hold you till you get rid of the car generally speaking.

That's a very common weakness, with many threads about it---including my posts on how I fixed it.

I saw a young lady with a turd gen Prius with exact rear bumper issue. I said out loud at her direction, “that’s a saggy butt you got there” I then walked closer to the rear bumper and pointed at the uneven seated point.
