Sometimes I'm cruising around at under 15mph and hopping in and out on private property. How can I kill seat beat buzzer? Also, how big PIA to remove front passenger seat OR move seat back maybe another 6-12"?
An advanced scan tool can turn it off. If you don't have one, ask the service manager at the dealership nicely and they'll usually do it for you for free, at your next service. (Mine did.)
>How can I kill seat belt buzzer? I have had good results from putting in a seat belt extender. It clicks into the female side and fools the sensor as a side effect.
Full remove for more "loot". See my posts about my rear mounted cargo box and possible FRONT box. But move passenger (or driver) seat back about 6-12" so I can better sleep in my car while at "work". I'd be OK with moving the driver's seat back 6" because I'm 6'1" so never NEED the forward most position, except when cleaning under the seat. But I'd rather mess with passenger's seat because messing with driver's seat MIGHT mess up safety for ME. Passengers will just have to take chances. lol. But 99% of time would just be me in full recline. I'm thinking a passenger seat that goes to full recline airliner-bed might be neat feature and maybe AFTER MARKET. I know lots of people who due to weird commutes etc would like an actual full flat "read bed" and that would be more important than having perfect matching looking seats.
That seat belt SCREECH is the worst thing about the vehicle. And it’s a pretty good vehicle. But it’s too loud, goes on too long, and WILL DRIVE YOU INSANE
I second the Carista app. And while you're at it you can turn off the monumentally stupid backup dings, rear seat warnings, and most other warnings. My Prius is now MUCH quieter.
The main reason I changed the backup alert to one ding is because I couldn't distinguish it from the proximity alert telling me that I was backing up into something.
