Hello, A relative of mine has some weird issues with their 2019 Prius. They said one time a message popped up on the infotainment system (not the dashboard) that said "Engine Rat." and it never happened again. They hear the occasional low-pitched, low-medium intensity rattle whenever the gas engine turns on. Not the usual engine running sound. It doesn't happen at start-up. Any ideas on what this could be?
It was the center screen, it was a system message with the climate controls and radio and other stuff. Edit: they messed up and it might've been a youtube video that was playing. But the rattling problem still exists.
i had a rattle in my 2016 prius, check engine light showed P0301, milage was 130k, it ended up with replacing one coil only of cylnder #1, since than all is good, so check if you have any codes of that type ,
