It makes sense that the continuous fuel flow would provide cooling. Not knowing the specifics of the test the OP performed (and whether it damaged the injectors), it might be a good idea to also perform an injection volume test to see if they are still within spec.

they weren't. i was tapping them with the two tips from a voltmeter and the cables connected to the 12v. i'm not sure why SamSpade seems so hellbent on wanting my fuel injectors to be busted.

If there's a way to dunk on you for suffering a possibly self-inflicted problem, Sam is often on the lookout for it.

The 9V battery can supply WAY less total current than a 12 V car battery.
The battery itself is current limited.

Well that is because I have MADE a lot of those mistakes myself in my 76 years and try to keep others from doing the same thing.
Alas, some people seem to be insulted by that.

no you definitely do come off as unnecessarily hostile. I gotta ask, are you a shop owner or do you work as a mechanic?

There are a few "people" here that know it all. And the will let you know it.
And if you disagree with anything they say, they will attack you.
Save yourself some pain and just ignore them. Go to their page and to the right of
    their handle you'll see "ignore".

second user on here i will be selecting "ignore" on. First one is that guy that writes a full page of text with no punctuation or pharagraphs. Someone else suggested I hit ignore on his profile so i wouldnt have to "witness that mess".

Beware that the Ignore feature even stops you from seeing the ignoree's words in other people's posts so you can't tell they are replying to the ignoree and not to you. Some threads here have escalated quickly because of that.

What exactly have I said that was hostile.......that was not a response to a hostile remark from someone else ???

I've been wrenching of cars, trucks, tractors and small engines for over 50 years.
And am an Electronics Engineering Technician.
If you don't want honest advice, don't ask.

Guess some people really can't handle the truth.

Is it that hard to just self ignore someone?

Did his posts add to the discussion? No one knew exactly how you tested the injectors, now they do (because of him).

If getting slightly off-put is worth missing out on a new opinion about your vehicle I feel bad for you.

I don't (currently) have the aforementioned person on ignore, primarily to preserved the aforementioned continuity issues, but gotta say: if a dictionary required an example of bellicose, he'd do. FWIW, he has company...

Correcting wrong information is not the same as starting a fight.
Neither is stating a different opinion.

How would you characterize people who can not BEAR the tiniest little bit of disagreement ??

I don't care how useful your information is if you're going to be spiteful about it, I'm not going to give you any attention. Lose the hostility and then I'll treat you like an equal.
