Need some help before taking it to the dealer or mechanic. Was driving along came to a light, stopped, then took off normally, about 100 yards on engine kinda kicked and slowed down and the warning turned on. Pulled over waited for a while and restarted and same thing. Took it to AutoZone for some codes and then this morning I took it to a friendly mechanic for a more advanced code reading. So here are all the codes I've gotten so far. Seems like it's driving on the gas motor only, was afraid to drive it on the freeway, but actually, I was able to get up to speed on the streets so gave it a go since I thought that was the only way to get home up a steep hill. Made it home just fine, and drove to several shops without a problem to ask around but haven't pulled the trigger on anything.

    Current: P324E, P0A7A, P0A93, P0A94, P0C3A, P324E
    Pending: P0A94, P0C3A
    History: P0A7A, P0A93, P0A94, P0C3A, P324E, P0A7A, P0A93, P0A94

2015 Prius 3, 247k, drive a lot since I'm an uber driver. I was going to pull the 12v to clear the message and see if that resets things, but have tried yet since it's been pouring all morning. Honestly, I've been considering trading up for about 6mo so maybe I can do a simple reset/repair and trade it in unless it's something major. Thanks for any input.

Just had it checked out at a mechanic. confirmed it's the inverter, they also said to change out the pump as well. Now I need to look for someone who can do it a lot less expensive than 4k.

ouch, you definitely want someone who will put a a salvage inverter for a few hundred bucks.

if you replace the pump, oem only from dealer

If it's a typical inverter failure, Toyota may cover it. However, if it was, I don't understand how the "I was able to get up to speed" part was possible, or ascending a steep hill.

Lol, yea you would think so, but yea got it up to 70 until a car cut me off as I was getting ready to go up a hill and had to slow down a lot, but luckily was able to make it up at like 45 during some traffic of course. lol. Luckily I found a good mechanic, got the parts today at the salvage yard for $225, and should get everything done for under $800 tomorrow. Unless something new pops up.

Seems I have been reading more posts about inverter issues lately on GEN 2 and 3. Maybe it is a glitch when the miles get higher. Hope the used parts fix your issue.

Not yet. Unfortunately, the salvage yard gave me an inverter from a Lexus claiming he took it off a prius, which are very similar engine but with different part numbers and my mechanic said it's a no-go from his experience and doesn't want to install it and mess it up. Does anyone know how compatible they are? G9200-47230 prius and G9200-76011 lexus

Well got it all done. Everyone I asked could not confirm if the two inverters were compatible so I had to find another one because everyone said no. All done for around 850 after having to pay a little more for the correct inverter. Although when I took back the wrong one, they actually had the right one sitting right there, they were just too lazy to check for me when I called and asked.
