Anyone can confirm bolt pattern on 2023+ models?

So, @flarecde, which options do you have? Do you have PVM, digital rear-view mirror, sunroof, etc.? Perhaps you can post pics in the Gen 5 owners thread when you get a chance.

You have to click on the 2023 Puris from the table to open the spec sheet PDF file shown below as jpg. The 2023 Prius PHEV also is included in this spec sheet. 2023/1モ～

 

It's a pretty well optioned Limited. Pano view, parking assist, digital mirror, sun roof, heated rear seats, door and mud guards, all weather covers. It was the first one available around here and I plan to keep it a nice, long time.

I only have one picture I took for my family, the weather's been awful. I can take some more tomorrow, anything specific?

I might have this wrong but using Google Translate, I see one column heading is Hole Diameter. Would an XSE's 19" wheels with 19mm hole diameter preclude using SE's 17" wheels which have a 14mm hole diameter?

 

Good catch! Yeah, from the spec, looks like the 19" wheel has larger bolt holes. What I don't know is if the stud (or what Toyota calls hub bolts even though they are not real hub bolts) diameters are also larger on the trims that comes with 19" wheels. If the stud diameter is less than 14mm, then it should still fit on the SE's 17" wheels with 14mm holes. But... if the bolt diameters are the same, then why would they make the 19" wheel bolt holes bigger???

I wish someone with SE and XLE to try swapping the wheels... But that would be too much to ask?

I just ordered a spare wheel for my Limited(I was already ordering things and wanted to bundle as much as I could to hit a free shipping threshold), and I hope I got the right one if they're different.

Really wish Toyota finishes up adding the 2023 models to the parts catalog soon.

 

It would be good to know; I'm planning on doing the same. I've got a 2023 XSE supposedly arriving late-June or mid-July.

 

You wrote XSE, so I'm assuming you're getting a Prime? Just checking that you've read the other thread that shows you won't be able to fit the spare below the floor of the trunk. You can always strap down the spare above floor of the cargo area, but there's not enough room below it without building something to raise the floor.

 

Yup, the Prime is supposedly in the build stage. For a "spare", I'm hoping to eventually get a set of 17" tires/wheels assuming TireRack (I reached out to them) gets a 2023 Prime to do their measurements. For out of town trips, I can either strap a spare, or more likely take the wife's '22 RAV4 Hybrid.

 

No, the small holes are only for the 17"-steel-wheel option in Japan. In the US, both the 17" and 19" aluminum wheels (the former with wheel covers) have the same large holes.

 

Oh I see. The small 14mm bolt holes are only for steel wheels. Then I wonder if Japanese Z grade Prius PHEV with factory option 17" steel wheel comes with a thinner diameter hub stud? That would be strange.

In any case, if the US version does not offer 17" steel wheels, then swapping SE 17" alloy wheels with XLE 19" alloy wheels is doable.

Yep, I don't think there is a difference in the US trims, and it should be swappable.

17"-steel-wheel-version hubs are probably identical as well, as the hub studs are M12 × 1.5 and would pass through 14-mm through holes in the steel wheels.

My Prius Limited has 5 on 114.3.
Tried to reuse my 22 Limited spare but it would not fit since it is 5 on 100.
My 23 Crown has 14mm bolts, so was surprised by that.
The hub on the Crown is almost 1/2 inch wide so not too bad putting a tire back on but you do have to get those holes aligned close before those bolts screw in easily.

 

I almost thought you could use the rather efficient Volt rims but they are 115mm, how stupid

I think you can use a 114.0-mm or 115.0-mm PCD on a 114.3-mm PCD spec without an issue. The wheel-runout spec is 1.2 mm, which is almost twice the 0.7-mm difference. If you are careful when installing the wheel, there could be virtually no runout.

 

Yeah, sorta kinda but usually not

I did that once and very carefully kept everything centered and it worked but when I did a tire rotation I broke a lug as things splayed out very slightly
