Good evening, Currently Rebuilding a Salvage 2018 Gen4 Trim Two Prius, Have to Remove Both Passenger Doors, and the Hinges are 12mm, easy, the Connector is a bugger if you have never seen one before.. This Guy has a little youtube, and I got some hints, He indicated to release the clips on both the top and bottom of the connector, I used a small flat head screwdriver and the top popped first, so using the screwdriver to push in at like a 30 degree angle to push the tab in, and also trying to pull the connector away from the body to see if I had released the tab.. eventually the top released, then the dance with the bottom end, eventually it came out. Best of luck. On the future list.. Upgrade to add NAV , with a gps Antenna, Good Info Here and Tacoma Forum tacomaworld 3rd-gen-entune-radio-head-unit-comparison and Homelink Rearview Mirror.. homelink-auto-dimming-mirror-in-prius-3-touring-w-atp
Adding more photos. This is what the connector looks like normally, just the boot outside. And the angle I used to push the small screwdriver in to unlock the retaining clips. I will add, be careful, after separation, the body half can go inside the body, I suspect there is a technique to hold it er outside the body when reconnecting the two... One flat side .. vertical outside edge of the body side does look to have some edges that may lock onto a flat screwdriver or plastic wedge tool so push and lock the body connector outside then push the door side connector to mate the two first, then release the flat side screwdriver and allow the body half recess into the body and lock the boot to the door body. Next my struggle with the ultrasonic front bumper removal.
