Just wondering where in the owners manuel it shows for oil changes, spark plugs and coolant changes. I can't for the life of me find it anywhere in their. Anyone can help please
From "Warranty&Maintenance Guide -- Under normal driving conditions (all in miles) - every 10k oil and filter 0W16 for your 2022, 100k engine/inverter coolant, 120k spark plugs. https://www.toyota.com/content/dam/toyota/brochures/pdf/2022/priusprime_warranty_guide.pdf
It's not in there. Well, the intervals are in there, but no chance of instruction, how to do it. Honda Owner's Manuals used to include basic maintenance instructions; not sure if they still do.
Attached is the maintenance section, North American Honda Civic Owner's Manual. It explains the schedule (the in-dash Maintenance Minder system), coolant check, light and wiper replacements, transmission fluid check, and and engine oil and filter change. Not bad, Toyota should take some cues... A while back I made a spreadsheet format summary of the US 4th gen schedule (found in the Toyota USA Warranty and Maintenance Booklet), I've attached that as well. One heck of a lot easier to understand than the event-by-event format published by Toyota.
For excellent videos about Toyota Maintenance, search for The Car Care Nut on YouTube and he has 3 or 4 that goes over just about everything that needs maintenance. If you're so inclined, he also has excellent how-to videos. I've now done just about every maintenance item there is on my Tundra and Priis saving a LOT of money. (My Toyota dealer wants $315 to drain and fill the coolant in my Prius transaxle...highway robbery!)
