I just got my 2004 Gen 2 back from my daughter. It sat for a while with the battery depleated too much to start the ICE. Is someone willing to loan or lease a charger setup so I can get this 200+k gem going again? I'm in southeast Georgia with the pollen and gnats.
I'm too far away to loan you mine, but you can build your own for $100... It's a very simple system: Build Hybrid Battery Maintenance Gear For Under $100 | PriusChat
Thanks for the link. I would build one if I had the time, but unfortunately, I don't. I love tinkering. I'm an aerospace engineer.
For a dude like you, it will take you longer to find someone to borrow one from than it will take to wire together a couple of Meanwell 1/3 amp power supplies.. Or you can use this dealer map to find someone near you who has the gear, but they'll charge you way too much: Dealer Map | Hybrid Automotive Approved Resellers | Hybrid Automotive Also Eric Powers who runs a hybrid shop in Wisconsin has been known to rent them via shipping one to you if you put a deposit on the value of the charger: https://www.evpowers.com/
Bare bones charger ideas if all you want is to charge up the traction battery to start the car. Can I borrow your battery charger/balancer/reconditioner? | Page 6 | PriusChat Tap into Prius HV battery fan using a 4 amp battery charger/maintainer. Green wire positive, purple wire negative.
