Just got my second layer of security for my Magnaflow cat. This is a new version of the Millercat cat shield and I will be getting it installed very soon. Now I will be able to drive in scetchy areas and not worry too much anymore.
I just had mine installed over this past weekend... it was the original version, but still better than nothing at all! After installation, please report back on vibration, rattling and noise. It's concerning that the manufacturer seems to say there will be noise, just not significant noise: "When properly installed with the correct hardware, the user should not experience any significant noise or rattling."
1. This shield is bolt on. Doesn't require any drilling like the V1. 2. Doesn't require any special tools like a rivet nut tool like the V1 3. Because the mounting holes are cupped, the screw heads become recessed which makes it harder for a thief to cut off. 4. Comes with a resonator cover because a lot of thieves aren't very smart and try to cut it off thinking its a converter. 5. No need for noise dampeners or spacers to prevent rattling like in the V1. Because of cupped mounting holes, the shield sits further away from the converter, preventing chances of rattling. 6. One shield fits all Prius Gen 3, Prius V, and Lexus CT200h models with no modifications.
