I think that depends on some other factors such as total mileage, condition of the body and interior, overall condition of the remaining running gear and condition of the hybrid battery. A replacement engine isn't out of the question at (what I've seen here) between $1K and $2k? If you don't want that, there are people "out there" that will buy and repair a Prius.
