MPG drop from 65mpg to 35mpg in the last 4 weeks

    Sure. Driving 5000 consecutive miles that is ALL downhill is easy to believe.
    Much easier to laugh at though.

    Many people forget about these and don't want to pay the dealership big bucks (no whammies) to have it done. I cleaned my wife's 2017 last summer and it barely had any buildup on it. I credit that to only filling up the gas tank at our local "Top Tier" station...has detergents that help keep things cleaner, especially those fuel injectors.

    The MAF sensor is well upstream of the fuel injectors, not sure about that.

    You guys aren’t answering the o/p’s question, how can he get his mpg’s up?

    I think there have been a number of replies. But … there certainly seems to be a number of naysayers who claim 65mpg is impossible therefore irrelevant and providing a trollish answer. Being a devils advocate.

    It all depends on how often you change your air filter and the environment whether it's dusty, humid, leaves, pollen, etc.

    The gas, and whatever additives are in it, never touches the MAF sensor.

    So did OP do any of the advice and suggestions? Were you able to get your MPG back up
