The The transponder chip is in the bottom of the small plastic case you push the buttons on so basically below the panic button I think if you open the case you'll find the little transponder chip that transponder chip generally never stops working If you put a broken remote that is say a green board with the buttons on it with no battery in it or a battery in it and it doesn't red light and doesn't function you should still be able to put that remote in the slot and have the red key disappear on the display and the dash and the car ready if the key is not in the slot it will not ready the car if the green board is not completely functional or correctly functional meaning you'll see a red light when you push a button on the remote generally speaking If you can unlock the car with the key and physically get into the car and put the remote into the slot the red key should stop flashing and the car should ready if the 12 volt is up to the task your remote need not unlock the car with the buttons or be functional at all other than you being able to insert it into the slot under the power button that should ready the car If not you need to be looking at your 12 volt and whatever is not making you have power.

    Hi ,
    Thanks for your answer,
No problem for locate chip transponder , it’s not this problem.
My smartkey is not broken, she work on my car , but as my immobilizer box is broken , immobilizer box is not chip transponder but one electronic board under the dashboard at right.

I want just know how reprogramming my smartkey if my dashboard is not power on , because I can't communicate with the calculator and techstream if the dashboard is not power on .
    You unsderstood?
I want one solution for associate my smartkey with immobilizer box without techstream ,

Yes I got it . You don't want to deal with text dream but you want to communicate with the immobilizer board understood Not sure if you can do that I think locksmiths might be able to do it they can do it on my Italian motorcycle with this transponder chip cloning machine that most locksmiths supposedly own it's made for this My Italian Aprilia motorcycle uses a transponder key and has all kinds of problems with the red key light on the dash and not starting problems to the point where many people wind up replacing the dashboard on the motorcycle and various other parts just to get the bike to run many get sold and never run again I found a place in Maine USA all lock and key that could clone my transponder key for my bike without incident send it to me and it worked I imagine there are other key shops and places that have similar type machinery but at the immobilizer board goes bad in the vehicle than you've got to have the vehicles type of repair computer to communicate with it I would imagine I don't know if the universal locksmith tools that work with transponder keys and systems will talk to the Prius like that I have no idea. Usually the transponder board and the transponder chip in the key fob communicate through the green boards amplifier and allow you to ready the car with the remote in your pocket when the green board and the remote starts to falter won't unlock the doors etc I can unlock with my manual metal key sit in the car put the fob in the slot and immediately see the red key go off now I can ready the car. So you're saying with the fob in the slot the key stays lit and you can't ready the car?

The donor immobilizer has to be from a smart key vehicle for this to even have a chance of working. Their should be a part number on the immobilizer. Look up this number to make sure immobilizer is for a smart key Prius.
Second thing when the 12 volt battery is connected you should have a blinking red immobilizer light on the dash.
Third thought the black ID47 chip needs to be mounted in a key fob case. This is because when the fob is inserted the dash it powers on the coil that powers the chip, and reads the ID number out of the chip. If the immobilizer light goes out, this mean the immobilizer has accepted the chip. Starting the car may be possible.

All that sounds correct except for when an SKS remote is working properly in the button under the dash is not pushed and it's all working you see the red light on the dash the little car for the immobilizer light is flashing. I'm able to walk up to my generation too touch the door handle not the button on the door handle and I hear the door unlock I open the door remote is in my pocket I sit in the car I push the button the red car light red key goes out and the dash lights up in the car works when my green remote in the SKS key fob went bad battery wouldn't fix it no red light no door unlocking The car would only start then by putting the fob in the slot The key goes out car starts can't remove the remote nothing from this lot while the car is on. So I believe the green board helps to amplify the transponder chip signal so that it can remain in my pocket and be true SKS. Does this sound correct because this is exactly what happens with my broken remote It has no unlocking capability it's basically a brick I have to shove it in the slot for the key to go out and me to drive the car My other SKS remote which I finally found which is never been used sat in a drawer for the other owner. So I took the broken remote put it in the house got the new remote put it in my pocket walked out to the car the door unlocked the light of the key red went out and I drove off with the remote in my pocket now I never have to take the remote out of my pocket like it used to be with the one that's in the house broken. And yes I would think you'd want an SKS remote and board and computer inside the car to kind of sort of match be the same type system that would make sense.

    Salut Chpa!
I don't think you can associate the key with the car unless the working immobiliser computer is installed. Otherwise, what does the transponder in the key talk to?

The simplest way to fix your problem is to buy a used immobiliser computer and matching key(s) from a smartkey model. or you can try to associate your own key with Techstream. If Techstream won't connect to the "new" immobiliser computer you may have other problems to figure out. Are you 100% certain the part you bought works?

    Hi ,
Sorry for no answer , I was work.
    To resume :
My immobilizer box is broken , my smartkey works.
I bought another immobilizer box comes another prius with smartkey , it’s the same reference of immo box.
    I bought two id47 new .
I don’t acces with techstream on all calculators of my prius, and no initialisation because , the immo light blink and no possible IGnition .

I want just know how to associates the new transponder chip id47 without techstream.
I know the chip can be inside the smartkey.

Ok, so did you install the new immobiliser box? And Techstream still doesn't communicate?

No , because , I don’t have the IG position and I will never possibility the communicate with techstream if I have not IG position.
My switch , on/off smartkey is off position , and I use smartkey in the reader .

Hello does anyone know what is required when I swap the transponder key ECU. Does the ECU have to be re seeded? Or can I do the chicken dance to get the key to work?
