I purchased a gen 2 battery from NewPriusBatteries in March 2022. Expected delivery May 10, 2022. I emailed them on June 1, 2022 for an update. Nick got back to me and said it should be about another month (July 2022). Since then I have emailed (from their site and directly to Nick) asking for an update to the order and they have NOT RESPONDED. Are they still in business? I understand the supply chain delays. I want to keep the order since I have $1600 and 9 months invested. I just want to know they are still sincere in fulfilling this order. Does anyone know what is going on with this company?
Forum member @2k1Toaster is the guy that owns that company. I believe he posted in another thread (last week maybe?) that he had a recent life-endangering medical occurrence, and he has many thousands of emails to sort through. He was working hard to get caught up. I think he did mention supply chain issues are still a major schedule killer and at one point he may have lost an entire shipment. Hopefully he'll pop in.
I am posting this on all the strings that I talked about my experience with Nick and NewPriusBatteries.com. Update. Nick offered me a new battery or a refund. I chose the refund ($1600) and he promptly complied. We were never able to figure out what the mix up was. His end showed the battery delivered and my end showed it awaiting fulfillment. He apparently has a lot of scammers and is very leery of them. I reached out here because I was getting nowhere with communication. This forum helped put me in touch with Nick and get a refund. Thank you! I will drop the issue, consider it closed and let you make your own decision on his batteries.
