Calling S, Y, & 3 luxury? That's a stretch. X, w/ it's fancy self presenting & falcon doors? Maybe. But now it has less buttons & knobs, following its siblings. Cool? fast? OK. We've had the fancy retracting handles w/ the S, & the fancy falcon wing doors X, as well as mid level MB's, Lexus & BMW's. Tesla doesn't even offer buyers perforated leather that cools yer hinie w/ AC temps any more. Leather seats come in very tiny choices. There are cars more appropriately considered mid level that have massage seating (thinking VW) .... but not high end Teslas? Stretch. .
It is called 'luxury' because low noise and absence of vibration had been the mark of quality, luxury cars in the past Having electrical doors and powerful controls helps. Bob Wilson
My model Y is not a luxury car. It doesn't have any hallmarks of a luxury car. It is just a somewhat large mass-produced EV, pseudo-SUV. In fact, it is now a $20,000 less valuable mass-produced car.
