Toyota app updated today to Version 2.0.14. Somewhat different layouts, no readily notable improvements for Prime owners but seems to have lost the Guess-O-Meter display.
….aaaand it’s still useless. Won’t even take my VIN number, whether scanned, copy-and-pasted or typed in manually.
I *THINK* that they finally fixed the Vehicle Finder functionality on the Toyota App for my 2017 Advanced. The map that comes up with the bottom row Find button now has two dots: one for "You Are Here" and the other I *think* is the long MIA "Your Car Is Here" dot. I have been working with Toyota Brand Engagement for months on this, ever since the Entune App was discontinued in favor of the Toyota App. I have to double check this a bit more to confirm. If one is near the car, you may not see the other dot, since they may overlap. What has changed from how this worked in the Entune App is that there apparently is now no way to force a location update. With the Entune app, you could hit a "Refresh" button to have the system contact to the car for its current location, even if it was moving. Now, I think that the car sends the location info only when you turn off the car. In any case, I can confirm that Safety Connect functionality still works in my car after Verizon turned off their 3G (CDMA) network on January 3. We were pretty sure that the 2017 model has a 4G Safety Connect phone, but this confirms it.
So I have a 2017.... last time I had connected services I had Entune (yea, it was a while ago). Are you still able to control the AC from the app? If so, I may sign back up.
I have the same A/C option for my 2017. BTW, The remote functionality on the 2017 is different from the 2018. For the 2017 Prime, they hacked support for remote functionality into Entune. The Remote Connect stuff was completely redone in 2018. For example, there is no remote start or remote lock/unlock functionality on the 2017. Then they got rid of the Entune App completely, and merged everything into the Toyota App, gradually tweaking their back-end system and app to play with the Entune-related software in the older models.
