@Ragingfit is in Chicago area IIRC. He's NOT a shop, but one of the pioneers of 4th>3rd transplants. He might have some suggestions for a shop, or offer tips, say if you're on the cusp of DIY'ing it.
I called and asked. They sell gen 3 engines to install..but I'd rather go to a shop that specializes or does these swaps.
This guy say he has done it and would travel to do others....... I just performed this swap In less than a day. I had to modify the 3rd Gen egr cooler and cooling lines quite significantly. A lot of cutting and grinding. It’s definitely not as straight forward as I’d hoped. I’ve been driving the car for a couple weeks and it drives flawlessly. I think I’m 1 of 2 driving a 3rd Gen with a lithium pack and a 4th Gen motor. Pretty cool if anyone is wanting this swap done I wouldn’t mind traveling and doing this swap in your garage, or mine if your local. I’d charge less than these shops. Feel free to message me if interested. Or if you just need general help I’m Always willing to give advice or offer a lending hand. #107HelloMcFly, Oct 19, 2022 Report Like + Quote Reply
