Clicking in driver door panel

    Has anyone ever heard a clicking in the driver door panel. I hear it during driving and stopped. It almost sounds like a relay, but I can't imagine a relay in the door. If you had the door open and looking at it, it's coming from the upper left.

    I've heard this too, but it's very faint so I have a hard time narrowing it down. I keep pressing on the Door Panels and Driver's window to see if that makes it go away but no luck. I seem to hear it in the morning for some reason.

    I think I know what this is. It is more noticable in the morning when it is cold, as I believe it is the plastic door panel rubbing against the steel part of the door (in the upper rear of the front doors); as the panel is less flexible when it is cold the noise is more pronounced.

    My solution was to remove the door panels, and on the back side of each panel put strips of adhesive backed felt, just inside of the outer edge of the door panel (in the recess). As it was hard felt (not the soft stuff), and the thickness of the felt was just slightly more than the recess, the door panel actually "floats" on the felt and does not make direct plastic to steel contact on the edges. The felt is completely invisible, and the "gap" is not apparent as it is uniform and is only about the thickness of 2 sheets of paper.

    I only had to do this fix in the upper rear of the front door panels to stop the noise.

    Great suggestion. I was thinking of doing something like this, but couldn't think of what to use. It's funny that you only get this in the cold, because I live in Houston where it is rarely cold, and it will happen most noticeably on my drive home from work. I would accept it as vibration if it weren't for the fact that I can hear it while stopped, and the gas engine turned off. Sometimes it almost sounds as if it is coming from the pillar between the front and rear door. I think I will try your suggestion on all four doors, as it will likely help the vibration from the speakers as well when the radio is cranked up.
