I got my Corolla rims (aforementioned) installed with snows through a dealership, sans TPMS. Not bad price, and they verified compatibility.
I see that the OE wheels on my 2012 Prius are 15x6. I am ignorant about all of this, but why would I go with a 15x6.5? I have already purchased my 195/65/15 tires through Costco so just hoping to find some alloy rims to go with my new winter tires. In a different post I did note that I found some 15x6.5 wheels that I like but they are a +35 offset while the OE wheels appear to have a +45 offset. Thanks, again, for any help.
Either widths will work. Hmm, I thought the Gen 3 was 15x6. Sorry about that. You can use an online wheel size calculator to see how the wheels look on the car with different offsets and widths.
This old thread might answer all your questions about what to buy, it answered all of mine. GET YOUR DEDICATED SNOW TIRES NOW !!! | PriusChat I got the steelys Rob recommended and mounted Nokian Nordman 195 65 15s on them with a set of 4 oem TPMS sensors at ebay for $45 shipped. Just gotta search a bit once you get the right tpms part # (if you want them and have a why to program their ID's) Tire Assistant app can read them even if they airn't programmed into the prius . the offset question is also answered in his old post about aftermarket wheel fitment https://priuschat.com/threads/aftermarket-wheel-fitment-guidelines.194485/ It's full of other good stuff besides as long ya don't try to take it in all at once. tire sizing comparison, if you need it Tire Size Comparison
