Indicated 98 mph in a classic Prius. That's not a record, is it?

Seriously folks, exceeding posted limits is illegal and potentially quite hazardous. Prius is capable of a little better than 100 mph on level pavement and maybe we'd be better off just leaving it at that.

OK, I'm a wimp. 85 MPH was as much as I was willing to push it.

That's about as high as I've gotten it, but the next time I go into Montana I'll try to push it higher. IIRC, they don't give very expensive speeding ticket there.

    92 MPH.
A Mustang FLEW by me, closely followed by some other Toyota, when I was doing 80MPH. So I sped up because I thought if a cop was going to pull anyone over it would be one of those 2. After a few miles I slowed down because I could not see the Mustang anymore. About 5 miles ahead the guy that was driving had the Mustang pointed the wrong way down down an on-ramp with 2 cop cars by him and his head on the trunk and in handcuffs.

Did you notice any stability problem? Motor Trend plublished a 2 year review of a 2004 Prius, which was their car of the year in 2004, and said they experienced instability at higher speeds, but didn;t specify the exact speeds.

I did about 92mph for a very short time once. I was in Canada and they tend to drive WAY over the limit. I usually drive at 65mph on the freeway (MI limit is 70mph).

It was on the Freeway, mostly straight aways, there were slight curves. I didn't notice any differences that I could tell. It was a clear day. Not hot or cold.
