i agree in that this was a very scary movie and the reason?? the movie is driven by public naivety, ignorance, and just plain ole stupidity of what it is creating. most of us have had experiences with SUV drivers who justify their solo commutes by saying they need the additional safety one of these over-sized vehicles provide. believe it or not, some people still believe that is true. forget the longer stop distances, rollover threats, etc. they believe the only way to survive an accident is be bigger than the person you are hitting. wonder what they would think when they hear a large percentage of fatal accidents are from collisions with objects (trees, bridge abutments, walls, etc
In the promotion for the DVD, the link on this site they forgot to include the reviews from academic institutions that really slam it. Several groups that have given it a good review have grants that read something like this; "Prove that global warming is bad and here is 10M dollars". Next year; "Continue to prove that global warming is bad and here is another 10M dollars". When you are promoting this DVD, do you think it's safe to ask this group for a review? The problem with the billions and billions of dollars in grant money is that it is given out with an expected result in mind. The only way this money could be given out is with blind grants. If not the results from such grants is suspect, to say the least.
