Because Gen4 engines work in Gen3 vehicles with only some minor differences, it makes sense that this will work for you. But I've not done it myself, so we'll have to see what others on here think?
2014 and 2011 are both Gen 3. I'm not aware that anything changed in the transmission mid-third-gen that would be a problem there. Have you compared the part numbers specified for the transmission or inverter between those two years?
