Hi all, I just noticed that one small plastic piece is missing around my trunck opener in my 2017 prius prime. Does anyone know what is the part number or what is it called? Thank you.
Dealership parts department will know. How does this come to be; what’s the cars history? If you’ve had since new they should supply/install free. Or you’re second owner, long story?
Carwash casualty? Edit: I just checked mine. It looks like it's almost installed from the inside out so I doubt it's carwash related.
No idea. Just felt the difference today when I opened the trunck then discovered this piece is missing.
On the website, enter your Zip code and compare prices from different dealers. If you are in the LA area, Culver City Toyota has the lowest prices, and West Coast Toyota of Long Beach seems to be the second lowest. Note that discounts only apply to online purchases.
No idea why I can't edit the post. But here is the update. The part is "Protector Back Door - Toyota (76835-47011)". Spend quite some time to track down this piece even with specialist from dealership. Cost me 10 bucks for it and luckily you can just snap it on from outside. What's holding the piece looks like the tips of a toothpick. It's ridiculous how fragil they are. So go easy on that spot washing your car. Just in case if anyone else run into this problem in the future.
Thanks for the tip. I am in LA. I usually buy parts from Longo Toyota with local pick up option. If it's in the area, they do shipping themselves with very low shipping cost. Shipping is ridiculous from dealerships with higher discount.
Pickup is free. Culver City Toyota has the lowest prices, followed by West Coast Toyota of Long Beach. Compare the prices on parts.toyota.com.
