Apologize if this post isn't in the right place, I don't fully understand the website layout. 2009 293,000 Someone stole my cat back in March, replaced cat with bolt in cat from Rock Auto (WALKER 16337) and O2 sensor (DENSO 2344623) Yesterday 10/12/2022 my check engine light came on. Codes P0037 P0101 P0420 P1150 These All came up! I started reading about these codes and man is there a lot to read. Would all or most of these be related to one issue? Its been 8 months since i installed the new Cat and O2, seems if either was a problem it would have come up before now? Any help is greatly appreciated. Dickless cowards stole my wife's Cat the same night. She has a 2008
Technically, each of theses codes should turn on the check engine light by itself... AND, if one or two of these codes are set, then the others shouldn't be able to set. You need the MAF sensor (P0101) and the downstream O2 sensor heater (P0037) working properly (ie, no codes) before the ECM can determine that it has a problem with the cat (P0420). That said, if the car & ICE run properly, you might want to clear codes and see if/what comes back first. The P1150 is for a problem with the Coolant Heat Storage Tank system. In regards to exhaust leaks, I mean, the new cat just came with a clamp, doesn't seem like it would be the best at sealing? The check engine light went off the following day and back on the following day... In regards to it not being on then ALL 4 of these codes at once....seems crazy! I've read that we should only use Toyota O2 sensors, should I replace the one I installed with a Toyota one? I do need to go read the codes again, now that the check engine light toggled on and off...
Replaced the mass air flow sensor and eventually check engine light went away, been off for months now.
