Hi my prius just got the red triangle icon and i hooked it up to scan tool and got these code back. I looked up the HV code its say the blower motor need cleaning? if I clean it will this clear up all the code? saw another thread about having all three of this code, he replaced the 12v battery and it went away. so which one is the correct way to fix this? clean the hv blower or change out the 12v? The detection condition for P0A82 is "difference between estimated battery temperature based on blower fan cooling performance and actual temperature is excessive (2 trip detection logic)". So, yes, it's possible that cleaning of the fan (or the ducting, or filter if there is one) could resolve that issue, or, it could be an issue with power to the fan or operation of the fan motor. C2318 is about low power supply voltage reaching the transmission control ECU (a grandiose name for the box that drives the motor that shifts you in and out of Park). That could suggest a 12 V battery issue (though not necessarily; it could also be something in the wiring bringing the supply to that ECU). The freeze frame (click the snowflake next to C2318) should show what actual voltage was seen when the code was set. C1242 from the brake system is about supply voltage not reaching the two redundant supply terminals (IG1 and IG2) of that ECU at the same time. There will be an INF code (click the snowflake) showing whether IG1 had power and IG2 didn't, or vice versa. There should also be some interesting voltages shown in that freeze frame.
I don’t know anything about that code, but i’d say only replace the 12 volt battery if it needs to be replaced. you can get it tested at auto part stores. for the cooling fan, either way it’s a good idea to inspect and clean it. I’d say clean the cooling fan and test the 12 v battery. post results!
cleaned the hybrid battery blower motor and cleared all code. i will update this thread when i drive the car for 100 mile to see if the code gonna come back or not.
