The discussion of efficiency here started as a who wins bragging rights one.

That driveway art had good monetary value to help pay for the higher priced car.

On a personal note, Toyota and Tesla are both near the bottom of my shopping list. Owned three Toyotas, and they were all among the least comfortable cars I've driven. Don't care for Tesla's minimalist interior. They were a consideration in the beginning for being the only longer range option back then. I only want a BEV for commuting. That being just over 60 miles round trip eliminated the other early options.

If we were talking 0 to 60 times, the PP would be on top by a couple hundredths of a second.:p

It is a great value. Prius has been since the second gen.

Using the EPA roll down coefficients:
    upload_2022-10-16_0-8-2.png
    • 2017 Prime and 2019 Model 3 have very close drag power within 1 mph
    • 2022 Model 3 has higher drag power closer to 2 mph
    • Drivetrain efficiencies drive the operational differences
      • ICE power is much less efficient than battery-electric power
      • Battery-electric flexibly uses nuclear, wind, solar, as well as more efficient power plant generated electricity

can't you pretty much pick any stock, pick a time frame, and show that it loses X amount of percentage?
We bought our Tesla stock roughly 3 years ago, if it tanks another 30% we're still at a 250% gain. Yet some people bought the stock at over $1,000. Neither of us loses or wins until we sell at a loss or a gain.

Information in isolation isn’t all that useful.

Toyota stock is down 28% so far this year.
    GM stock down 46%.
    Ford down 46%.
    Honda down 24%.
    Kia down only 16%.

    Similarly:

DJI30 Index down 19% from its 52-week high.
    S&P500 Index down 26%.
    NASDAQ Composite Index down 36%.

OTOH, the market is still up around 2000% since I started putting some of my paycheck into it. Or 4000% since my mother started putting some of my college/retirement fund into it, 8 or 9 bear markets ago.

In my 20's (1980's) I believe, the market crossed from the 1000s to the 2000s and it seemed outrageous. Amazing what inflation can do. But let's not forget Toyota stock - since Tesla stock has been under the microscope

Hopefully the next administration won't be so hideous with businesses that in some cases employee tends or even hundreds of thousands of people.
    EDIT
oops ..... looks like @Zythryn beat me to it

Did you not read the thread?

Not everywhere, It is only done sometimes, just as often as your drives to remote areas that can't be done in an EV.

Yes everyone knows an ICE can go to places that electrics can't

I did and what you said, "Said by someone who reminds us on every thread how great his car is for his particular choice of trips to his cherry picked destinations" was non-sensical. Those trips I went on were actual trips I planned and executed for my family and the destinations were national parks - not exactly "cherry picked" destinations.
