Featured 2023 Nissan Ariya Priced CA $52,998 for Canada

    2023 Nissan Ariya Priced From CA$52,998 In Canada, Tops Out At CA$69,998 | Carscoops

    "Found at the base of the Ariya range is the Engage FWD variant equipped with the entry-level 63 kWh battery pack. Packing 214 hp, 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque, and up to 346 km (215 miles) of range, this model will set back shoppers CA$52,998 ($38,589).

    One step up in the 63 kWh range will take buyers to the Ariya Evolve e-4ORCE with all-wheel drive, 335 hp, 413 lb-ft (560 Nm), and 330 km (205 miles) of range, priced from CA$60,598 ($44,123). Priced between these two models is the Ariya Venture+ FWD with the larger 87 kWh battery and packing 238 hp and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm). It can travel up to 482 km (300 miles) on a single charge and costs CA$59,498 ($43,322)."

    Base price is higher than the competition but the base battery size is larger (the largest?). It tops out higher than Ioniq5, EV6 and bZ4X but cheaper than the mid-range Mach-E Premium ER AWD ($72k CAD). Battery size is closer to Mach-E ER (87 net vs the Ford’s 91kWh net).

    It makes sense that their many years of selling the Leaf has turned into something more upscale... But I still don't understand why they'd leave the Miata fans out of the loop? Why not at least sell a conversion kit since so many are doing it DIY style? And beyond that an electric Miata could probably compete with the fastest electric cars ever built if Nissan set their mind to it.

    Looks like the priciest & w/AWD feature only gets $265 Mi range. Doubtful that will scare the competition. Don't see it in that article is it safe to be presuming Nissan has finally gotten with the program with water-cooled traction packs?
