Hello all would rims from a 2010 mini cooper fit correctly on a 2015 Prius C ? The reason i ask is there is a set of snow tires on rims I'm interested in purchasing . thanks in advance
The bolt pattern and wheel offsets are close/compatible. The center bore diameter is larger on the Mini's wheels, which is a good thing. You'll need to find 56.1 to 54.1 mm hub adapter rings to make sure you mount the wheels centered on the hubs if you do end up with these wheels. The Mini wheels are mounted using 14mm lug bolts, and the Prius c uses 12mm lugnuts on studs. That should also not be a problem, because the Toyota lugnuts actually have wider shoulders that extend into the mounting holes, the holes are actually about 19mm wide. If you buy these wheels you will need to get some lugnuts that are 12mm x 1.5mm thread with ACORN seats. For your test fitting, your oem Prius c lugnuts should have a small acorn seat for compatibility with a steel rim spare wheel, but the seat area may be too small to engage the Mini wheels properly. For the test fitting, this is not critical, you just want to check clearances around the wheel at this point. You should ask the seller if they will allow you to test fit the wheel(s) on your car. At least the front wheel, to check for clearance around the front brake caliper holder, and between the tire and the strut assembly. The back wheel should have no clearance issues, because it has a drum brake. You don't have to have the hubcentric adapter rings for the test fitting. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
