I'm waiting on KICKGAS ... I'm not the first in the country, but it's my favorite. My second favorite... EVOLVED I was too afraid of getting run off the road by some right-wing nutjob to make a political statement like: OILKADA, or WAR4OIL Also in contention were GOESFAR 4 EARTH ORGANIC 2SLOW4U (I hypermile, getting 57.2mpg average over the liefetime of my prius) GREENER PROGRES ADVANCE B List: HUMRH8R (Hummer Hater) 2GREN4U (Too Green For You) LESSOIL, LESSGAS, LESSWAR, LESSCO2 AIR4US, AIR4U2, 4CLNAIR If you use one of these, send me a picture!
Our Prius came with the standard plate "DGE394" We call our Prius 'Dodge' which is a play on a brand of less than economical trucks and how we dodge petrol price increases.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(devprius @ Oct 11 2006, 02:51 PM) </div> I like the way you think. My personalized plate reads /DEV/HYB As an aside, I met somebody in the parking lot a couple of months ago who said she liked my plate. Hers read UID0
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ltu1542hvy @ Nov 21 2006, 08:47 PM) </div> we haven't seen that super-geek license plate in a while  how ya doing, man?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(galaxee @ Nov 21 2006, 08:53 PM) </div> I'm doing great; thanks for asking That super-geek license plate will be heading back to Durham/Chapel Hill for the weekend tomorrow evening. Unfortunately they wouldn't give us the Friday after Thanksgiving off. The week after Christmas I am going to have to sell Prissy, and the mere thought of that just about makes me want to cry; it has been by far the best car I have EVER owned and I am really going to miss her. Right after New Year I will be moving to Cotonou in the country of Benin in West-Africa for two years, and unfortunately a Prius is totally unsuitable for the local conditions. I did buy a '93 Toyota SR5 King Cab 4x4 pickup truck from my predecessor; considering that only the main roads in town are paved and there are two rainy seasons during which most other roads essentially turn to mud a four-wheel drive vehicle is pretty much a necessity to get around in any kind of meaningful way. At least it's a Toyota, but is sure is no Prius Hope you're still doing well in NC! - Bill
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Greenkeeper @ Nov 17 2006, 09:10 PM) </div> My wife and I came up with EMIT THIS which I really loved but is too long for British Columbia. I hope somebody else can use it where they allow that many letters. We are restricted to 6 characters plus one space here so we ended up with CUT CO2. Not nearly as funny but I like the idea that I'm sending out that message wherever we go.
I saw a good personalized plate on a Prius not too long ago on highway 101 near the San Francisco airport. 53 MPG
[attachmentid=6323] Well? Any Takers? (Electronic geeks need not play) Hint . . . There is NO yearly fee for displaying it.
Here's mine... [attachmentid=6325] Everyone loves it, as do I. Was a toss up between this one and KIKNGAS. Told my husband that's what we'd put on his when he got his own Prius.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hill @ Jan 24 2007, 05:16 PM) </div> That is a random plate? I love it!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hill @ Jan 24 2007, 03:16 PM) </div> Hint... I do NOT use KE6IYV on my plate. I'm not an E-geek, but I am a... well... user. 73. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Super Muffin Girl @ Jan 24 2007, 03:24 PM) </div> That would be a GREAT one for a car that used NO gas. Almost wasted on a Prius. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Tom M. @ Nov 21 2006, 08:57 PM) </div> Being quite familiar with the peak oil concept, I decided to take you at your word and went after it with goole. Must have missed the surprise? Do tell.
When I shop for all my geeky gadgetry (Plasma TV, HD-DVD, SACD, etc.), the first question is, "is this good 'bang for the buck': With the Prius the answer was yes, thus: BNG4DBK.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(tiger roach @ Jan 24 2007, 08:27 PM) </div> Nope! CA random plates are 7 didgets long.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hill @ Jan 24 2007, 06:16 PM) </div> Looks like an amateur radio call sign.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(JimboK @ Jan 25 2007, 08:57 AM) </div> Yes! Because being in the Prius is simply not geeky enough
I've transferred by plate "DYLN DOG" a few times... from my Volvo V70 to a Rover and now to my Prius. I got the plate because my Golden Retriever was in the car all the time (expect hot summer days). Now that she's gone on to doggy heaven, I have a great way to immortalize her and I smile every time I see my plates. Does anyone have cool license plate frames? I have a Surfrider Foundation frame. Forgot to add - I saw a Prius in a parking lot, the plate read "HADASUV"... laughed my butt off!
