Is there a way to turn off the constant beeping of the warning signal when I get close to an object? For example, I have to pull up close to the drive-up window at a fast food restaurant, and the car is upset and beeps the entire time I'm waiting for my food.
That'll be the Intelligent Clearance Sonar. The quick solution is to put the car in Park (because the forward-facing sensors are active in Drive and at low speeds). If you want them permanently off, there's a setting in the menu, accessed via the 4.2" MID and steering wheel buttons. (Park Assist OFF).
There are various settings you can access with a Carista dongle and app. I have mine set so that the beeps don’t happen in neutral, for instance, and in general occur at a lower volume.
Can you kindly direct me of what you did in the Carista app to turn them off while in neutral? It's super annoying in the car wash! lol
To be honest, I’m not sure of the exact setting any more. It seemed relatively intuitive when I did it though. If you post all the screenshots of the options available, I should be able to direct you.
Just read through all the settings. There are a lot. You need the paid version. Take 30 minutes and set your car up the way you want.
There was for me - I read the reviews, and noted the owners complaining about those beeps so much, so I bought the model without that feature. L Eco for the win.
Press the P button and the beeping stops. It doesn't take a moment to put it back into drive when you are ready to get going again.
