I mentioned this on the Gen 2 forum too, but looks like it affects gen 3 unless I'm not looking at the website correctly. When I go to parts.toyota.com I cannot see any gen 2 or gen 3 Prius HV batteries. I was thinking of putting in a new OEM battery in my gen 2 but now it looks like that might not be possible. Am I missing something here? If this is true, what are the alternatives?
I think it’s because there’s a nation wide back order due to the supply chain issues. You can call your local dealer parts dept and ask what the lead time is currently.
some people here are reporting that they have purchased recently, but most report backorders, so it must vary geographically.
Maybe we need to start an OEM battery pack thread that tracks this supply chain debacle? But which forum should we start that thread in?
When was the last time you started a thread Bisco? Why don't you help out with getting this ball rolling?
