I am selling my 2006 Prius that I purchased new in March 2006 and now has about 219K miles on it. It’s a package 6, so it has HID headlights, JBL, backup camera, smart key, stability control, auto dimming mirror, and Bluetooth for phone. There’s nothing mechanically wrong with it. The tires have 4mm of tread, and also included is a set of Michelin X-Ice snow tires (5.5-6mm of tread) mounted on factory wheels. It’s had synthetic oil since the 10K oil change. The only modifications it has are the Touring rear sway bar and 195/60-15 tires, which significantly improved the handling. This is by far the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. I think the only time the check engine light has ever been on was when the hybrid battery needed replacing. All recalls have been done. Most maintenance/repairs were done by me using either Toyota or higher-quality aftermarket parts. I have the full maintenance record for anyone that is interested, but since it would be a long list, I’m just putting what I think are the key things here:

95K – Water pump (Toyota) replaced
96K – Hybrid battery replaced under warranty at dealer
    115K – 12V battery replaced (optima)
151K – Struts/shocks (Monroe) and strut bearings (Toyota) replaced
165K – Engine coolant changed (also done at 95K)
166K – inverter coolant changed (also done at 89K and 123K)
181K – knock sensor replaced (Beck Arnley)
184K – Sway bar links (TRW) and bushings (Moog) replaced
190K – ball joints replaced (Toyota)
192K – belt replaced (Toyota) (also done at 95k)
198K – passenger-side front wheel bearing replaced (Toyota)
205K – driver-side front wheel bearing replaced (Japanese aftermarket – I think it was NSK)
205K – Headlight level sensor replaced (Aisin)
209K – control arms replaced (Beck Arnley)
209K – changed ATF (also done at 98K and 152K)
213K – new pads and rotors (Bosch) (also done at 136K)
    215K – Brake shoes replaced
    218K – Muffler replaced

Now for the not so good parts: The bumper cover (not original) and hood have the normal chips and imperfections. The passenger rear rocker panel has the rust that is typical for this car in this part of the country. There’s also a scrape with a bit of panel damage above that on the door/quarter panel. Finally, a tree branch fell on it a few months ago, denting the roof above the rear passenger side. It’s all cosmetic - the door still closes as it should and there have been no water leaks. I’ve tried to show all of this in the photos.

I’m selling the car because I’m moving and it doesn’t make sense to take it with me. It won’t be available until around August 7-9, but I’d be happy to show it and take a deposit before then. Located in west-central CT. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

I encourage you to reconsider you price... Two years ago it would of only been slightly low... But out here on the west coast an equivalent Prius would sell for three times what you aking. I even saw one like this in Portland, OR., but with only 27K miles, that was selling for $17K. Don't leave all that money on the table!

Just curious, have you seen the body damage and rust on this vehicle?
