Just happened to check our nearby Toyota dealership this morning: they're 100% a used car lot. Still, it's been thus for months.
Yeah good point. Thank you and yes if their time estimate is true then it's pretty amazing. I ordered a XLE in blue magnetism. The moonstone interior would be further delays/longer wait so I said the plain old black interior is fine
it’s amazing looking at the available inventory online at any dealership for any make. In Seattle, when you ride the light rail past the Honda/Toyota dealer, there is a giant banner reading, “WE WILL BUY YOUR CAR.” When supply chain issues first hit, this dealer announced on their web site that they would never sell above MSRP. That announcement quietly went away. I get it… the car business is a volume game, so if you can’t sell more, you have to sell what you can at a higher price. The 3 year lease on our Prius ends in 15 months. We got a great deal (not sure if you can lease an AWD XLE for $300/month these days). Will probably buy the vehicle at a minimum just to flip it.
